Promoting balance testing & training to our local community at the Aged Care Expo in Port Macquarie

On Wednesday 17 June 2026, the Balance Metrix team did a wonderful job of spreading the word to local seniors about the benefits of exercise physiology combined with postural sway testing. We were exhibiting at the Aged Care Expo in Port Macquarie for the morning.

Pictured above are (l to r) Bipin Shrestha (IT intern), Thelma Costelloe (work experience volunteer), Margaret Metz (Balance Metrix co-founder), Candice Eberhardt / Bevan (accredited exercise physiologist) and son Ryker and Ian Bergman (Balance Metrix co-founder).

Bipin and Ian measured the postural sway of 21 people during the three-hour expo, while Candice drummed up business for our Balance Mat testing / exercise physiology services at Lake Cathie, and Margaret and Thelma did the rounds to discover what some of the 45 service providers present do and see how we might work together.

As part of their commitment to shifting from reactive to proactive care, many providers we met were keen to refer clients they suspect of being at high risk of falling to Balance Metrix for a $36 postural sway test and exercise physiology with Candice.

Given that Port Macquarie and Lake Cathie are two of the most attractive retirement areas in New South Wales, we all agreed that we’re in the right place at the right time to be doing what we do and lucky to be living and working on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales.
