Ian Bergman
Balance Metrix Business Owner
Ian Bergman is the named inventor on the Balance Mat patent, Managing Director of Balance Mat Pty Ltd and owner of the Balance Metrix business based in Port Macquarie, New South Wales.
As well as spearheading a balance testing service on the Mid North Coast, assisted by Raelee Pietrzak (see below), Ian is in charge of delivery, training and organising ongoing technical support from the Balance Mat Pty Ltd electronics engineering and software development team located in Canberra.

Margaret Metz
Balance Metrix Business Manager
Margaret Metz has been helping her partner Ian Bergman tell the story of his Balance Mat invention since July 2017.
As Business Manager of Balance Metrix – a role she has held since 22 June 2022 – she looks after branding, marketing, sales, communications and partnerships like the Better Balance Initiative. Raelee Pietrzak
Balance Metrix Executive Assistant
Raelee Pietrzak is a Virtual Assistant and contractor from The VA Rae, providing Executive Assistant services to Balance Metrix.
Based in Port Macquarie, she works closely with aged care providers, allied health professionals and general practitioners across our local region and surrounding areas to coordinate our balance testing service, which uses the Balance Mat to assess an individual’s postural sway in just 20 seconds per stance.
Raelee is also involved in rolling out the Better Balance Initiative – a 12-week exercise physiology / physiotherapy course combined with balance testing for residents in aged care, retirement living and the community.

Ryan J Fawke
Balance Metrix Biomedical Technology Presenter
Ryan J Fawke is a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science student at University of Canberra (UC), NDIS participant and part-time Balance Metrix Biomedical Technology Presenter.

Ryan is available to show the Balance Mat “biomedical technology” – a name he coined – to interested stakeholders in the ACT. He is pictured here with electronics engineer and UC PhD student Abishek Shrestha from Balance Mat Pty Ltd, who can help Ryan with the technical aspects of Balance Mat demonstrations.
